Stucco and stone give a house weight and texture, and both depend on what's behind them. A stucco wall is a layered system: weather barrier, drainage, lath, scratch and brown coats and a finish coat. When one layer is skipped or the flashing above a window is missing, water gets trapped in the wall, and cracks, stains and soft spots follow.
We install new stucco systems on new builds and renovations, repair cracked and hail damaged stucco and blend the finish into the existing wall, and install stone veneer for wainscots, columns, entries and full feature walls. Stone gets the same attention to drainage, weep screed and flashing as the rest of the envelope. We pair stucco and stone with Hardie or LP accents when a home calls for a mix of materials, so the transitions are detailed properly instead of caulked and hoped for.

Can you repair just part of a stucco wall?
Yes. We cut out the damaged area, rebuild the layers behind it and blend the finish coat into the existing wall. Colour and texture matching on older stucco can take some care, and we'll tell you what to expect.
Does stone veneer need special flashing?
It does. Stone needs a drainage plane, a weep screed at the bottom and proper flashing at windows and transitions, or water gets trapped behind it.
